Making the Grade: Where do you see God?

For four months, WordServe Church has worked to raise our awareness of God’s presence in our lives—in big ways, small ways, and everything in between. In fact, when we began this journey, the people of WordServe took a survey to measure how aware we were of God’s presence…and we averaged a C+. As we stretched ourselves to look harder, pray more, and experience God through things like fasting, serving, and giving, something happened. Our latest report card shows our overall average at a B!

Our goal when we started was to raise our average to a B+ by the end of May…and we’ve almost made it! Join us for the home stretch and experience all that God wants to do! We will take our final survey and celebrate during worship on May 29th.

For now, check out just a few of the amazing ways WordServers have seen God working in their lives:

“I felt an immense sense of peace in the midst of great sadness.”

“[God showed up] in the ladies in my Community Group.  When sharing prayers there was a real sense of honesty. With no fear of what others thought, people shared and God showed up in a way I have never seen.”

“In giving up the thing I had the least of (time), I had a profound experience & I’m trusting that the thing I didn’t get to will work out. God gave me an experience and it challenged me to trust Him.”

“Serving Burmese refugees with other WordServe folks – AMAZING!”

“I saw God at work in Nolan’s sermon.  After lying awake for hours last night thinking about opposition, these reminders from Nehemiah have given me fresh hope!  Thank you!”

“God was at work in the teenagers who got up early on Saturday morning to come out and serve their neighbors.”

“God has given me the desire to spend more time with him.”

“I felt completely content one day this week for the first time in years.”

“God reminded me of Psalm 19:14 at the very moment I needed it.”

“I felt God giving me guidance on a situation at work.”
